Alan Caldwell is the CEO of Landcaster-Caldwell Company, prior to that, he was the Southern California External Relations Manager for Shell Oil Company. He manages strategic communications, develops public stakeholder engagement strategies, serves as the external point of contact for Shell and manages media relations.
Caldwell is trained in The Department of Homeland Security’s Incident Command System (ICS) and serves as the Public Information Officer/Joint Information Center Manager for the Shell North American Emergency Response Team.
Caldwell is a successful 20-year veteran within the communications and stakeholder engagement profession in both the public and private sector. He is committed to the continual elevation of the profession and interested in helping to bring more diversity to the profession. He believes it is important for public relations professionals to embrace technology but not forget the core of the job, which is communicating; you must speak clearly and write succinctly.
Caldwell holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science with a Minor in Computer Science from Baylor University in Waco, TX and a Public Relations Certificate w/honors from UCLA.
