David Gamboa is the Assistant Vice President for External Relations at California State University, Dominguez Hills. In this role, David is responsible for oversight of both alumni relations and government and community relations. David and his team work to identify, develop, and enhance ways for California State University, Dominguez Hills to better connect with its large alumni base by engaging and helping them embrace their “Toro spirit.”

Prior to his appointment as Assistant Vice President, Gamboa served as Director of Government and Community Relations at the University from 2007 to 2015 and also served as interim Director of Alumni Relations from 2014 to 2015.

Gamboa began his service to California State University, Dominguez Hills as a student, where he served in a number of student leadership roles. He was elected president of Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) for the 2003-04 academic year, and was a representative of the California State Student Association (CSSA).

Gamboa holds a bachelors of arts degree in communications from California State University, Dominguez Hills.
